[“SALÓ” ALEXANDER MCQUEEN SPRING 1996 // DAZED & CONFUSED: MAKING IT UP AS WE GO ALONG, VINYL REPRINT NORBERT SCHOERNER (2001)]
(via jakobhetzer)
Hey everyone, I’m sure most of you who are seeing this have been following me for a good 10 years or so. And I’m sure if you’re back here, reading this, you recall the magic of scrolling tumblr after school. The naiveness of it all.
I’ve grown up since then.. I started a brand called Salem7. It taps into a lot of nostalgic themes. Please check it out, I hope you like it.
Salem7 started out in a bedroom, so it only made sense for the debut collection lookbook to be shot in a bedroom :)

Check out this little throwback from 5 years ago…
Zane shot this whole thing on a Super 8 camera, back when he didn’t believe in filters or colour correction, only to be humbled and realise why no one shoots on Super 8. For starters, the film is overly expensive, you gotta take it to a professional to develop and you never know how good the footage will actually be until it’s actually processed. But that’s all just a part of the magic of creating stuff. We were kids together.

Hey wassup, it’s Lee Solo :)
I’m the founder and artist behind Salem7! I wanted to start blogging as a way to connect with you all in a different way. Posting on most social media apps, everything feels so fast paced and disposable, we all have such short attention spans these days. So it’s nice to put something out and just kinda, leave it at that. I’m not trying to go viral or anything on here, I just wanna say some words for anybody who cares to listen.
Like, 10 years ago, blogging was my absolute sanctuary. I’m a sucker for the nostalgia trips so it’s nice to be here.
I’m still figuring out what I want to do with the Salem7 blog. Maybe I’ll share some behind-the-scenes stuff, break down some cool ideas I’ve had, or post some funny dog videos. I could also interview other artists, skaters, or nerds, Might even dig up some fun content from the archives. Who knows? It’s all up in the air for now.Anyways, happy Friday… anyone.
